Does Foreigner belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? OR at least on the first pass?
KRH: Hmm, maybe. IF we say that they do, it is one more in the “success determines acceptance” column. Definitely NOT on the first pass. If it took Rush a bagillion rounds to get in (and THEY deserved it on the first pass). Not sayin’… just sayin’.
Sure, Foreigner all day in the Rock Hall.....right after Jethro Tull, King Crimson, and ELP are inducted! I might even include Bad Company and Guess Who to nudge ahead of Foreigner!
First off, Miss Gradenko has always been one of my favorite songs on Synchronicity! Love the lyrics and images it inspires. Second, yes, Foreigner should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It does seem like lately they are stretching a bit in terms of what they consider "rock and roll." I don't really have a problem with that but they do need to be sure to include those artists that did have an impact in their heyday. Everyone of a certain age bought those first 4 albums. Sure, they were more of a commercial than critical success but I think the Hall of Fame should acknowledge each generation's major rock artists.
