RIP Eddie Van Halen
Thoughts and wishes for his family and friends.
The beauty of Eddie Van Halen was that his music transcended both time and age.
I began this by saying, “If you’re over a certain age…” but the truth is, it doesn’t matter. I recently watched two kids watch Eddie play “Eruption” live, and you can see their amazement.
In fact, the young kid says: “How does he even do that?” I dunno kid, it’s a question every person has been asking for decades now.
Now …imagine hearing that in 1978!

There was, and never will be, a parallel to Eddie Van Halen. You’re going to read a lot of tributes about him and his music and contributions, etc.
Loads of celebrities will offer up their condolences.
I am not going to say too much here because really, what can actually be said?

And then, on my birthday, I selected my favorite Van Halen album. It was a toss-up between Women and Children First and Fair Warning, but Women and Children First won.
