Karina Deniké is a versatile, sought-after vocalist, songwriter, collaborator, and band leader who moves fluidly from intimate torch song chanteuse to soul singer, to punk powerhouse… and all points in between.
Perhaps best known for her remarkable contributions to the punk and ska scenes as a founding member of the iconic band Dance Hall Crashers; Karina’s powerful vocals helped the band craft a unique blend of punk, ska, and pop, leading them to considerable success and critical acclaim.
But there is much much more to Karina Deniké.

Karina stopped by Thunderlove Studios to talk to Geoff & Keith about her wildly diverse and prolific career.
Karina has been described as a songstress, chanteuse, arranger, and songwriter who can sing her way across an ocean of genres. Her original tunes are a haunting combo of 30's seaside shanties, 60's girl group harmony, and noir soundtracks. We can confirm all of that.

Having released over 30 albums as a solo artist, band member, or guest, her songs have appeared on numerous soundtracks and countless compilations. Denike has been in the game long enough to work with every type of record label, from major to independent to mini-labels.
