Great piece Rob!
Great piece Rob! I recall reading that he and Michael Stipe from R.E.M. had become friendly and there was "talk" of them working together. Which would've been interesting I think. For me, when I watch the unplugged set, I see a direction I would've loved to have seen him pursue. He had a very good voice and could sing very sweetly. In my head, I would've imagined a softer, perhaps more acoustic, side emerging. But you're right, he would've delivered art, in whatever form, that would elicit a range of emotions. Having experienced both in my lifetime, I consider Kurt Cobain's suicide to be as significant as John Lennon's murder. The loss of both is literally incalculable.
