She said: “I’m not ready.”
He replied: “I know.”
“I don’t if I will be.”
“I know.”

They laughed.
They cried.
Time went by.

She said: “I’m not ready.”
He replied: “I know.”
“I can’t love you.”
“I’m not asking you.”

They laughed more.
They cried less. 
Time went by.

She asked: “Why stay?”
He replied: “I don’t know.”
“Why not find someone else?”
“I’m not interested. Right now.”

Time went by.

She said: “I might be ready.”
He replied: “I know.”
“How?”
“Hunch.”

She said: “That was a big risk.”
Grabbing her hand: “Bigger reward.”

Time went on.
Together.
