My Attempt at 25 Objective Things to Consider About President Trump
I get it, he’s a divisive and polarizing. Let’s take a step back and try to examine these 25 facts…if I can make it that far.

To overcome this particular moment in time it’s time to take a hard and honest look at the man the sits in the oval office. I know, I know, Donald Trump monopolizes almost every news cycle and it’s all we seem to do and talk about. I get that, but take a breath and try to consider him objectively.
Leave the jokes to the comedians and late night hosts, leave the partisan bickering to the corporate media monoliths and take a step back and look at President Donald Trump. What’s he’s done and/or hasn’t done.
Many will find him to be the great white electoral hope while others will see him as an imbecile. Like most things, there are three sides to everything. So for those of you that don’t lean one way or another, step away from the noise.
Now for some reason, Trump remains oblivious to the impact he is having on his constituency (all American citizens) and our allies. Left to his own devices, just as he did in 2018, he’d give himself an A+. Never one to short-change his own fatuous nature, he asked, “Can I go higher than that?”
No Mr. President, that’s not how it works.
Now, whether all of these things he has done as president are impeachable or criminal isn’t the point (although most probably are one or the other…if not both). What they speak to is the judgement and moral fiber of the man who holds what is ostensibly the highest office in the world.
I just spent two weeks in New Zealand where I ran across another American who was ashamed to admit she was American. This was in New Zealand, perhaps one of the least judgemental and confrontational countries on the planet!
It’s pointless to call Trump names and/or Tweet things at or about him. He has proven time and time again that he is impervious to insult. He’s also proven he has absolutely no shame. Money and ego drive the current president. So taking that under consideration, the only thing we can do is look at what he’s done (or hasn’t) and when the time comes, cast your vote accordingly.
25 Things to Consider:
Donald Trump has openly admitted that his preferred form of courtship is sexual assault.
There is the famous Billy Bush “Grab ’em by the p*ssy” tape. But wait, there’s more…much much more. In October alone, there were 43 NEW allegations against a SITTING PRESIDENT. That brings the tally to…No one can keep count anymore but does it even matter?!He’s a liar.
Billionaires and politicians lie, I get it. But Trump takes it to, well, Trumpian levels. As of October, according to The Washington Post, he’s lied 13,345 times. That should matter…and yet it strangely does not.In an administration full of rotating neophytes and imbeciles, the Queen of them all is Betsy DeVos.
The Trump administration is full of idiotic monsters but DeVos is in the solid lead for biggest piece of shite. To list her atrocities would bore you, and infuriate me, so let’s just point out these four gems:
a. she has referred to public schools as a “dead end”
b. she has said that government “sucks” (here I find myself in agreement with her…but then I’m not a government official)
c. she has revoked Obama-era protection for LGBTQ students
d. she has cited grizzly bear attacks as a legitimate reason for teacher to have guns in school…read that again, GRIZZLY BEAR ATTACKS!
e. and everything elseHis association with Rudy Giuliani.
The man could’ve coasted on his legacy from 9/11…but instead he’s turned into the comic relief character in a Martin Scorsese movie. His recent bizarre and frenetic behavior aside, you have to question the make-up of a guy who marries his cousin. Yea, that’s for real. The one trillion dollar deficit.
Yea, there’s that. And don’t think for one damn minute that’s NOT gonna impact you and/or someone you love. If it hasn’t yet. Wait. And it’s growing.Perpetuating the “Do Nothing Democrat’s” myth.
There are currently numerous bills that the Democratic led House of Representatives have passed. However, the Republican led Senate led by America’s own congressional Oscar the grouch, Mitch McConnell, simply won’t entertain them. This includes two gun bills and 12 must-pass spending bills in order to avoid a government shut-down.His business track record.
Donald Trump has shilled everything from education to vodka and in the process driven six of his businesses into bankruptcy. Important to note here is that he himself has never gone bankrupt. He drives his businesses into the ground. Am I the only one that sees the connection here? He’ll screw anything (or anyone) he’s involved with, so long as he can profit from it. Again, ego and money drive this man. Period. His judicial appointees.
While everyone is paying attention to all of his jackassery, he is quietly carving out a very conservative Judicial Branch that should be terrifying the hell out of you. Well, to be fair, Trump isn’t so much doing it as outsourcing it to The Federalist Society and Heritage Foundation. Alarmingly, Trump has nominated FIVE individuals that had been deemed “unqualified” by the ABA (American Bar Association). By way of comparison, in eight years, President Obama didn’t move forward with ANY person that the ABA deemed “unqualified”. Keep in mind two things…The Federalist Society is white and uber conservative and these are LIFETIME appointments.
I can’t go on. I can’t do it.
It’s exhausting, it’s infuriating and to list just 25 would invariably miss something far too serious. If ever there was a Sisyphean task, it’s attempting to winnow down the atrocious behavior of President Donald Trump. It’s the type of behavior that compounds daily.
Look, I get it, all of your attention is going on the impeachment. As it should, but keep in mind:
HE WON’T BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE BY IMPEACHMENT!
The House of Representatives may (probably will) impeach him. The Senate will not. Period. The Senate may be forced to bring it to trial but he’ll be acquitted. If any of his behavior to date hasn’t resulted in a rebuke from Republicans, it’s unlikely an illegal and bullying phone call to an ally will be the hill they choose to die on.
Like it or not, Donald Trump will be the Republican candidate in 2020 (unless he resigns, a possibility).
So look, we’ve been through shite before.
American’s are nothing if not a resilient lot.
We will push through this Democratic abomination that is Donald Trump. The larger question is, will we push through it in four years or eight? And that my friends is largely up to you and I.
My preference would be to do it in four years. Then maybe we’ll have a chance to right all the wrongs he has queued up in what remains of my lifetime.
If it ends up being eight years, gird you loins people, it’s gonna be awful.
