Soup is a tough one for me. I WILL give it another go. The one thing I do like about it is that it's such a radical departure from their debut. That takes some balls. I know we can never prove this now, but (and others may have written about this somewhere) but from what (little) I have read, it sure sounded like Shannon Hoon may have been experiencing the onset of scizophrenia (or something). I even felt that then as I watched the video for "Galaxy." He was right at the age when the disease presents itself in full force. The drugs certainly don't help. But watch the video for "Galaxy," I have always found it disturbing. Hoon is completely unhinged. Now, I won't pretend to know the pressures he was under and I may be way the f' off base. In any event, his loss was a real drag. GREAT PIECE by the way!!
