The early '90s, for me, Michael, was pretty much nothing but (Santa Barbara's own) Toad, Jellyfish, and "A Man Called E" (Mark Oliver Everett). Grunge, to me, was something to be strenuously avoided, like kale, used needles (hey, when you're knitting, new ones work best), and cleaning the kitty box (looking at you, Mika)!
"All I Want," para mi dinero, is one of the 3 best songs written post-'70s. For me, it at least, matches the angst and drama of the best of U2 or REM. I even wrote (in GROW BIGGER EARS #11) where its music video not only mirrored the look and style of "Losing My Religion," it even surpassed it in design and musical emotion.
