Terry and I got together a few weeks back to chat about how some singer/songwriters get academic treatment, like Bob Dylan and Taylor Swift (that’s real) and why some don’t… and probably won’t.
For the purpose of our discussion we looked at Jeff Tweedy of Wilco and Paul Westerberg of The Replacements. Of the two, we both came to the same conclusion - Jeff will probably see an academic assessment (if he hasn’t already).
Paul will be out back cleaning the erasers.
Trust me that doesn’t spoil the episode.
Terry and I talk about a bunch of things, including the cannon’s of Tweedy and Westerberg.
This is a BONUS Abandoned Albums episode, in lieu of a new Mix n’ Match episode. This won’t impede the delivery of a new episode of Abandoned Albums; that drops on Wednesday.
You can get Abandoned Albums everywhere you get your favorite - or least favorite/hate listen - podcasts.
Thanks for listening!
