It was great to listen to this interview and find out more about YOU! While of course I knew Daniel, Faithfully, and the Counting Crows song very well most of the others were pretty foreign to me. It's interesting how different our perspectives on music can be based on what we're exposed to. For instance, I never really knew The Call (I'd get them confused with The Cure and The Cult...by name of course) and it was Billy Joel and Woody Allen that defined what New York was for me rather than Lou Reed. However, your observations about what shaped your music interests are very honest and grounded. I still need to check out more of The Replacements but it was the Reed song that intrigued me the most. Great discussion and kudos to Kevin for conducting the interview!
Thank you Dan! Yea, that Lou Reed song is so dear to me. The whole album, New Sensations, as well. One's entry point to New York is always interesting. In a city of 8 million, or more, very few are from there, so everyone has a story. :) The Call are one of the most egregiously overlooked bands... which is odd to me. But maybe they weren't eclectic enough to get noticed. Thanks for listening and dropping a note.

Thank you, Dan! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
One of my absolute favorite Replacements songs!
Mine too
Lydia Loveless, from the Playlist, is new to me and awesome ( retrospective songs, indivualistic ). Thanks K.A.
